Once upon a time I threw my sticks and pencils in to the water, in 12 years the water threw it back at me but they sticks had turned to paint and the pencils to brushes. So here I am painting whatever catches my interest.
After adventures in the big city (Chicago) I have returned to the Inland North West with my wife and three cats. I make weekly trips to the art store to buy things I do not need. A chronic migraineur my updates are random at best. However if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I try to get to everyone.

You have a high control of the medium, and you make deliberate strokes with conviction, and they really look like the person's you are portraying

I love all kinds of media, myself. I use a few of them, myself. Digital art has it's pluses but can not take the place of all the other media. I've tried watercolor- it has a very unique quality- but failed miserably!
Lol, I learned a bit late they say that of the three big painting types Oil, Acrylic and Watercolor Watercolor is the easiest to start. Its small, it only takes minimal space its portable, no fumes can be reworked for weeks and even years. However its also known as the toughest of the three to learn, because it has so many variations, options and different aspects that it takes years and years just to get a pretty solid hold on it. I would say it took me two years to start to make anything with any slight quality, and for a while I was working a painting a day! But the great thing is, you can take it up, put it down pick it back up at any time. I have done graphite portraits when I was in my teens, I did some sculpting in my early 20's but didn't pick up watercolor till i was 39 after a 12 year break from all art. Swearing has ensued but its also very rewarding!
